GENERAL SUMMARY – Manage a full service Corporate Travel department to ensure all business travel needs are met
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a staff of travel & expense associate(s), assigning and directing work
- Primary administrator for Concur Travel & Expense tool and Corporate Card programs, including reporting, audit-rules, account-coding, negotiated rate loading, third-party integration, internal controls, email reminders, expense pay, custom messaging, and travel configuration
- Ensure superior customer service by consulting with customers and developing customer service skills of staff
- Ensure international travel arrangements booked outside of online booking tool are completed timely and accurately
- Work with Procurement acting as liaison between Global Travel Suppliers (Air, Car, Hotel, etc.) and end-users to support company strategies and performance
- Ensure timely processing of all travel related invoices and corporate credit cards held by the Travel team
- Develop and deliver traveler communication, training, and education, to ensure understanding of processes, procedures, and policy compliance Business owner of travel management software
- Administer the Corporate Lodging Consultants program
- Work closely with the Travel Management Company (TMC) to understand programs, implement tools, and negotiate beneficial contract terms
- Provide reporting and analysis when requested to assist other department with travel budgets
- Other duties or special projects as assigned by manager
- High school diploma
- 5 years travel management experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with all levels in the organization
- Experience managing others and working cross functionally
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficient with use of a GDS booking tool
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours to accommodate needs of travelers
- Associate degree in business or related field
- Detailed knowledge of Concur Travel and Expense software
