Senior Process Engineer - Remote

Sr Process Engineer

This is a remote opportunity with heavy travel across the US, up to 75%. The chosen candidate should reside in the Midwest to East Coast near an airport for travel purposes.

Dollar Tree is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support the Logistics Engineering Team. This individual will be responsible for designing, managing and executing distribution center process improvements and support labor management efforts. We are looking for passionate hands-on individuals from industrial and systems engineering, manufacturing, production or distribution environments who can effectively innovate and deliver results on behalf of the customer in a fast-paced environment. A background in distribution operations and labor and performance management is preferred. This individual must have strong interpersonal, communication, project management, data analysis and forecasting skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive standardization and documentation of standard operating procedures and distribution process using strong process management and lean principles
  • Drive implementation and adoption of new process innovations across multiple distribution facilities
  • Develop, implement and maintain labor standards, labor management system configuration, analysis and reporting
  • Assist in guiding onsite teams to identify data collection requirements and facilitate data analysis.
  • Identify innovations and perform experiments to create processes that increase customer value, reduce cost per case, and increase building capacity
  • Determine root causes of "defects" in performance through deep dive data analysis and decomposition and process observation
  • Partner closely with DC Operations to understand processes and needs so that solutions and results achieve the desired results
  • Collaborate with business partners in cross functional areas such as Safety, Quality, Loss Prevention, Engineering, and Finance
  • Coordinate with Information Technology and drive the operational execution of software enhancements

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical
  • Minimum of 7 years working as an Engineer and/or Project Manager
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Labor Management Systems implementing, maintaining and training
  • Knowledge of standardization of work methods, time study, MOST or equivalent tools to establish labor standards
  • Process Engineering skills and Project Management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and in a matrix organization
  • High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g., Minitab, Excel, MS Access
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time based on project needs
  • Remote eligible for qualified candidates within reasonable distance of a major airport
  • Experience and proficiency with labor management system implementation and maintenance
  • Demonstrated accomplishments improving processes with documented results
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive analytical based decisions

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Certification
  • MOST Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with Manhattan Labor Management System

Start Rate = $91k-$125K base salary based on experience + bonus
