Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.
- Responsible for leading Sales Auditors in the audit, balancing, and verification of point-of-sale transactions as well as overall cash receipts information.
- Lead training of the Sales Auditors in the various Sales Audit functions.
- Assist the Accounting Supervisor with the Weekly Sales Closing.
- Train and develop the team in the resolution of cash receipts exceptions by auditing and analzing.
- Review the processing of day-to-day exceptions by the Sales Auditors to ensure they are being performed correctly and assist as needed.
- Assist with the testing of new functions in the sales audit systems.
- Participate in projects/meetings pertaining to Sales Audit for Family Dollar.
- Keep supervisor informed of Associate’s development.
- Assist with other reconciliations/projects as necessary.
- Accounting system experience
- Microsoft Office experience with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Good organizational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well with deadlines and reprioritize work assignments as needed
- Retail experience
- Ability to perform account reconciliations
- Good customer service skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
