The Manager of Store Development is responsible to support, manage, coordinate and follow up on workload of the Store Development Specialist. Provide project updates and reports as needed. Partnering with Special Projects, Store Planning & Construction as needed to ensure project is completed on time. This position involves tracking project timelines, managing invoice submittals, project reporting, project scheduling and process improvements. Project types will include new stores, relocations, expansions, renovations, closings, re-openings and special projects for both banners.
The Manager of Store Development is responsible to support, coordinate and follow up on duties and responsibility completion of the Store Development Specialist
Provide scorecard updates for projects • Review Temporary Closings for Reopening status with the Store Development Specialist to ensure steps to complete project is timely
Review, submit, log, and track Third Party Vendor invoices
Process and publish project reporting as needed • Back up for various Store Development Support duties
Partner with appropriate parties to assign and schedule all Store Development project managers to projects weekly; ensure the most cost effective scheduling while maintaining timelines
Manage Payroll including Third Party Labor • Provide timely reports regarding the status of all projects
Create, improve and implement new procedures, best practices useful tools and efficiencies for new and existing store projects
Represent Store Development in coordinating, facilitating and attending meetings as needed • Travel one time per PD or as needed
Support Director Of Store Development in People Planning • Manage Extender projects
Manage capex projects
Manage and coordinate special projects with Business Partners start to completion.
Coordinate the review of Store Layouts within the Store Development department. Work with Store Planning as needed to address deficiency’s
Follow all Company policies and procedures
Specialized Experience, Education, Training, or Qualifications:
• Minimum three years’ experience coordinating processes for a retail chain and reading/working
with schematics. General merchandising and field experience required
• Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office
• Able to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment with high comfort level
for and adaptability to change
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships across all levels.
• Detail orientated
• Strong organizational skills; ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see implications and provide
solutions and recommendations
• Knowledge of sequencing and merchandising
• Must be able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms
• Must be able to work non-traditional hours as needed
• Travel is 0% up to 25% of the time
