GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Analyze internal and external data to uncover Single and Multi Price Point assortment opportunities across the Dollar Tree categories. As the organization looks to increase assortment, it is necessary to deliver support to the merchants to understand performance of current market items and whether the DT shopper is purchasing. Dedicated individuals to the mining of this data are imperative to the successful integration of the right new items for our shopper.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze internal and external data to uncover Single and Multi Price Point assortment opportunities across the Dollar Tree categories. As the organization looks to increase assortment, it is necessary to deliver support to the merchants to understand performance of current market items and whether the DT shopper is purchasing. Dedicated individuals to the mining of this data are imperative to the successful integration of the right new items for our shopper.
ESSENTIAL ACTIVIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with manager to develop recommendations and prioritize initiatives to assist in making product decisions.
- Support merchandise strategy initiatives with rigorous analytics, utilizing third party data sources including Nielsen/IRI, Numerator, and consumer research.
- Lean on new, disruptive shopper data to understand DT customer purchase behaviors.
- Organize and evaluate large data sets to assist with the development of assortment recommendations to become more relevant with consumable assortment.
- Analyze category, class, and sku performance (e.g., drivers of historical performance, trends over time).
- Understand different customer segments and recommend potential assortment approaches.
- Identify and analyze white space opportunities for our categories.
- Ability to interpret basket information from 1010Data to understand how shoppers purchase various product combinations.
- Bachelors Degree (BA / BS/ BFA) or equivalent, and 1-3 years experience
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
