This position is in the SSC headquarters in Chesapeake, VA.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze reports for senior leadership in the supply chain organization and cross-functionally.
• Communicate data analysis results to managers and senior leadership.
• Create actionable and repeatable reports highlighting business trends and opportunities.
• Examine data reports to locate and resolve errors.
• Drive business decisions by analyzing metrics and designing reports.
• Interpret research data to generate strategic reporting outcomes.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting for business leaders.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to investigate operational issues.
• Manage project plans for prioritized efforts.
• Articulate the business value of reported insights.
• Develop best practices and actionable recommendations for business operations.
• Perform advanced business analysis using statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining.
• Collaborate with clients to understand data elements across systems.
• Manage data flow from source systems to the Supply Chain Data Warehouse, ensuring clean and accurate data.
• Bridge communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Serve as the key contact for supply chain data details and interpretation.
• Duties as assigned.
What you have:
• Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Python, and other programming languages.
• Strong knowledge and experience with data stores, statistical packages, and building data models.
• Analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information accurately.
• Experience initiating and completing enterprise-wide projects, managing multiple requests, and maintaining high responsiveness.
• Self-directed project management and ability to lead matrixed groups.
• Ability to articulate the value of enterprise data and analytics solutions and stay updated on technology advancements and innovations in digital, analytics, and enterprise ecosystems.
• Skills in solving complex business problems through in-depth analysis and encouraging creative thinking within the team.
• Ensure adherence to data quality management principles, build tools to monitor data quality, and develop self-service data solutions and tools for data consumers.
• Partner with the business to translate needs into tools, metrics, and dashboards for data visualization, and provide insights on business strategies through analysis.
• Collaborate with teams to manage security and data governance.
Experience:
• 2-3 years of experience working with data is required, preferably within a data warehouse, data management team, or repository, ideally in the Retail or Consumer Goods industry.
• Project management, business, practice, and people development experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred.
Prerequisites:
Technical:
• Expert knowledge of business intelligence reporting solutions (Tableau, Microstrategy, Business Objects) and enterprise data tools (Alteryx, SQL, SQL Server).
• Proficiency in data visualization (Tableau, PowerBI), Microsoft Access, SQL, basic data modeling, and project planning tools (MS Project).
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Working knowledge of analytics techniques (statistical modeling, R, Python) and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level ERP systems and related reporting software.
People Skills:
• Ability to turn data into insights and stories understandable at various levels of the organization, and comfort with interpreting and communicating reporting outcomes to all levels.
