Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.
The Director of Treasury Services is responsible for directing strategy and execution in key areas of Treasury as follows: 1) Cash and investment management; 2) Credit facility and banking relationship management; 3) Capital structure management 4) Cash flow forecasting; 5) Card Payments management and 6) Process improvement and SOX compliance. In addition, the position is responsible for training and developing the Treasury team to achieve exceptional performance levels.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance
• Cash and Investment Management
o Direct daily cash processes (deposits/payments, concentration, etc.)
o Make daily investment decisions and direct third party investment managers
o Ensure compliance with the Corporate Investment Policy
• Relationship Management
o Manage all bank and treasury vendor relationships
o Negotiate banking related contracts and agreements
• Capital Structure Management
o Participate in management analysis and decision-making with regard to share repurchase and capital structure
o Manage letters of credit financing
o Ensure compliance with debt covenants on a quarterly and annual basis
• Cash Flow Forecasting
o Manage the development of short-range and long-range cash forecasts (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Card Payments Management
o Identify opportunities and industry best practices to reduce card acceptance costs and improve operational processes
o Ensure card payments industry compliance requirements are maintained
o Represent Treasury on cross-functional project teams expanding and/or improving card payment acceptance practices
• Process Improvement and SOX Compliance
o Challenge existing processes to ensure continuous improvement in the Treasury function
o Ensure all key treasury processes and controls are documented and meet SOX requirements
o Represent Treasury on cross-functional project teams
• Develop and Lead the Treasury Team
o Responsible for professional development of associates
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.
Bachelor’s degree, BA/BS in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 10 years experience in a financial discipline
• Excellent communication and leadership skills as well as analytical and negotiation skills
Experience in creative problem solving and project management
Strong track record of advancement and increased responsibilities
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.
• Experience in retail financial management
• Previous banking or treasury experience
• CPA, CTP or MBA designations
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.
Ÿ Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer systems, business analytics, statistics, supply chain or comparable field
Ÿ Two to three years of systems and analytics work experience
Ÿ Knowledge of transportation software applications from an operational and functional perspective.
Ÿ Possess an ability to conceive, develop and implement new ideas, procedures and processes whether organically or though staying attune to new technologies and procedures
Ÿ Should exhibit initiative, dependability, ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Ÿ Strong operational and financial analytical skills, the ability to think critically and problem solve
Ÿ Ability to work well with people at different levels within and outside of the company.
Ÿ Strong organizational, administrative, written and verbal communication skills
Ÿ Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
Ÿ Must possess qualities of integrity, discretion and strong work ethics
Ÿ Practical working knowledge of Oracle Transportation Management System
Ÿ The ability to interpret / understand EDI transactions.
Ÿ Experience or education in statistics and/or financial reporting.
Ÿ Ability to write and understand SQL
Ÿ Previous work experience with ETL tool like Alteryx
Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.
• Masters degree
• Experience in retail transportation management
• Previous transportation work experience with a multi-billion dollar organization
• Prefer previous experience in retail industry and/or large transportation company
