Shift: 1st Shift ( Variable) – Flexibility and oversight required across all three shifts; on-call availability required
Shift Hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Variable) – On-call as needed
General Summary:
The role of the Manager, Inventory Control Center is to be responsible for the Inventory Control Center operations on all shifts. This position will also be responsible for supervising up to eleven associates. In addition, they will oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of Inventory Control workflows. Evaluate workflow trends and inform the management team of potential risks, issues arising and concerns regarding inventory control processes. Partner with management to develop action plans that promote inventory accuracy through continuous process improvements, foster best practices and achieve the Distribution Center and Dollar Tree initiatives and goals. The Inventory Control Center Manager will carry out management responsibilities including planning, project management, hiring and staff development. This position is responsible for embracing Dollar Tree’s store-centric commitment to customers, customer service and sales.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with established Distribution Center policies and procedures.
Oversee the allocations and SKU slotting processes to optimize productivity and store support.
Analyze and act on reports measuring the effectiveness of the Distribution Center.
Coordinate communication with Store Support Center, Stores and Distribution Center Management to provide timely solutions to inventory issues.
Periodically audit department processes to include Receiving, Storage, Equipment, Shipping, and Order Selection.
Direct the scheduling and ensure performance of inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
Determine the plan for the storage of all inventory product using WMS driven data and statistical reports to maximize pick and reserve location productivity.
Manage inventory damages and process returns in a timely and effective manner.
Provide necessary leadership to ensure the Distribution Center compliance to quality requirements.
Follows all Company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with IT and operations to optimize processes and resolve IT related issues.
Supervise completion of tasks assigned by the SSC.
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Must be able to continuously walk the Distribution Center for an extended period of time
Must be able to lift or move up to 60 lbs
Must be able to work flexible hours and shifts
Less than 10% overnight travel
Minimum Requirements:
Education: College degree or equivalent work experience (5 to 7 years at a management level)
Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience and inventory control management experience in an automated WMS distribution Center. Excellent analytical, project management, verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office application proficiency, Retek, Radio Frequency and WMS (AS400 or Manhattan), Labor Management (KRONOS)
