You will manage three major program areas, including food safety and sanitation, environmental health and safety, and store operations compliance. This role supports all aspects of the business, including the Company’s supply-chain and retail operations.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will provide leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective programs to support the Company’s compliance efforts at its stores and Distribution Centers. You will manage three major program areas, including food safety and sanitation, environmental health and safety, and store operations compliance. This role supports all aspects of the business, including the Company’s supply-chain and retail operations.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with supply chain and retail operations leadership in developing and implementing site policies concerning operations compliance.
- Develop and lead the strategic direction of the Operations Compliance function across all retail and Distribution Center locations.
- Oversee the implementation of Company-wide compliance policies and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure store and Distribution Center operations meet legal and regulatory standards (e.g., safety regulations, pricing accuracy, etc.).
- Partner with Distribution Center and store operations to identify, report, and remediate compliance risks.
- Develop training programs to educate store managers, field teams, and Distribution Center Associates on compliance standards and best practices.
- Lead response efforts for operational violations, ensuring appropriate documentation and corrective actions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and adjust compliance programs to align with evolving requirements.
- Produce regular reports and dashboards for senior leadership on compliance metrics, audit findings, and trend analyses.
- Champion a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement throughout all of operations.
- Manage a team of compliance managers and specialists; provide leadership, development, and performance management.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years experience in law, compliance, HR, EH&S, systems quality and management, or food safety and sanitation.
- Excellent written, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong people skills; the ability to quickly develop relationships and communicate with multiple internal and external business partners.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving; able to creatively solve problems, innovative approaches where required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with business partners and senior leaders.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices related to a wide range of compliance functions in retail.
- Detail-oriented and coordination of multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
