Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.
The Accounting Associate is responsible for processing incoming checks and electronic funding which consists of scanning, communications and posting to systems. The ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and organizational skills are essential.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary tasks the associate will perform during his/her work schedule.
Responsibilities could also include:
• Daily reconciliation of gift cards and handling customer issues on a daily basis.
• Assisting customers by providing copy of receipts.
• Issuing startup funds for new stores.
• Generate daily sales audit exception reports for the team and auditors.
• Assist with various projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: - This is not to be considered a complete list of job duties, as they may be amended or added to as needed.
• One to three years of accounting, and or Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable experience in retail environment
• Understanding of basic accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and (Lawson or other ERP system experience a plus)
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Proven experience building and maintaining relationships
• Strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
• Possess strong time management skills with the ability to respond to changing deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• This position requires an independent worker who takes initiative and provides accurate, detail-oriented work
• Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach
